A large cervical cap was developed in the 1870s; it was the beginning of the diaphragm.
In 1880’s an immigrant in New York, Julius Schmid takes sausage casings and turn them into skin condoms. It became a big booming business by 1890. His condom invention made him millions and is still very popular today.
In the 1900s condoms was legalized in the U.S.
By the 1920s, the birth rate in the U.S. drops by half. People successfully achieved birth control.
In the 2000s the FDA approves different types of birth control such as the shot, patches and ring.
In 2003, the FDA approved the first birth control in a pill form.
